The Leopard Gecko (Eublepharis macularius) is considered easy to care for and is readily available, making it popular for people starting out in the hobby as well as experienced hobbyists. A crepuscular animal, the Gecko becomes lively during twilight hours. Leopard Geckos in their natural habitat can be found in rocky, dry grass or scrubland as well as gritty, gravelly, soil and sandy areas. Popular morphs of the Leopard Gecko include Eclipse, Snow, Tangerine and Blizzard.
