Curly Hair Tarantula

The Curly Hair Tarantula (Tliltocatl albopilosus) is a plump-bodied spider, covered with dark brown to black bristles that start very light in colouration as juveniles, and then darken as the Tarantula ages. In their natural habitat, the Curly Hair Tarantula can be found in the crevasses of rocks and trees. They are covered in long bristles that have a characteristic curl giving them a unique look. The male of the species has a life span of 5 years whereas females live for 20 years.
