The Bird-Eating Tarantula (Theraphosa sp.) is the biggest species in the world. In their natural habitat, Bird-eating Tarantulas can be found in the crevasses of rocks and trees in warm and humid rainforests where they create silk burrow under rocks and tree roots. This goliath tarantulas diet consist mostly of insects but will readily consume rodents and frogs. The male of the species has a life span of 3-6 years whereas females live for 20 years.
