Stick Insects are a member of the order Phasmatodea and there are over 3,000 worldwide in the order. In their natural habitat, an arboreal species, they love to spend time in trees and other plants. Make sure plants and branches are added to their enclosure in captivity. Stick insects come in various shapes and sizes, some are long and cylindrical, others are flat and resemble the leaflike shapes of the forest floor.
