The HabiStat Tortoise blend is tailored for Mediterranean and other arid tortoise species, recreating the dry, broken earth where these animals naturally roam. It is professionally blended from premium, natural materials, allowing it to compact under pressure while also remaining loose enough to burrow in, replicating their natural environment.  

This is the perfect terrain for healthy, active tortoises, encouraging them to exhibit natural behaviours like digging and foraging. The HabiStat substrate range now comes pre-hydrated, which will act as a temporary humidity boost each time its added. In the wild, tortoises find themselves in dry environments, so to combat this they will dig to seek vital microclimates. When used correctly this blend can help replicate this natural setting.

Istruzioni per l'uso: 

Spray at regular intervals to maintain humidity levels. Spread substrate evenly across vivarium base ensuring a depth of 2-3″ (5-7.5cm) for small tortoises and 3-6″ (7.5-15cm) for larger tortoises. Do not overfill if using underfloor heating. Spot clean daily, change or refresh every 12 months.
