The HabiStat Bearded Dragon blend replicates the sandy soils of Australia’s arid outback, the perfect substrate for desert dwelling species. This new formula is an expertly crafted mix of red sand and clay, designed to promote the natural behaviours our animals would exhibit in the wild, like digging for thermoregulation and open- area basking. 

The HabiStat substrate range now comes pre-hydrated, which temporarily increases the humidity in the habitat after it’s added. In the wild, bearded dragons experience seasonal rain which allows the sand to absorb humidity and release it into the air. Now, by adding the HabiStat Bearded Dragon substrate, this natural process can be easily replicated every time the substrate is refreshed. 

HabiStat’s Bearded Dragon substrate is ready to use straight from the bag, which is ideal for creating a naturalistic, enriching habitat. Our range of HabiStat substrate bags can be recycled at local supermarkets.  

Istruzioni per l'uso:
Spread substrate evenly across the vivarium base ensuring a depth of at least 2-3” (5-7.5cm). Do not overfill if using underfloor heating. Spot clean daily, change or refresh every 12 months.
