The HabiStat ReptiTurf substrate is specially designed for herbivorous reptiles, such as tortoises, to offer a natural, safe and practical solution for an easy-to-use substrate. 

Made from an annual by-product of UK-grown crops, it not only supports British farming but is also environmentally friendly, being 100% compostable.  

Virtually dust-free, it promotes a clean and safe environment, its fresh scent helping to effectively neutralise unwanted odours. Its natural composition of compressed grasses creates a realistic terrain that encourages natural behaviours like digging and foraging. Additionally, it is non-toxic and considered safe if accidentally ingested.  

Habistat’s ReptiTurf substrate is ready to use straight from the bag, which is ideal for creating a naturalistic, enriching habitat. Our range of HabiStat substrate bags can be recycled at local supermarkets.  

Directions for Use: 

Spread substrate evenly across vivarium base ensuring a depth of 2″ (5cm). Do not overfill if using underfloor heating. Spot clean daily, change or refresh every 12 months.
